Senior Haley Stauber will be attending UCLA and pole vaulting for the Bruins

Rosary High School’s Track & Field Program is conducted between February and May. The team consists of approximately 150 girls competing in the following events: Sprints (100m, 200m, 400m); Middle Distance (800m, 1600m, 3200m); Hurdles (100mHH, 300m LH); 4 x 100m Relay; 4 x 400m Relay; Long & Triple Jumps; High Jump; Pole Vault; Shot Put; Discus. The team participates in meets against other individual schools and in Invitational Track & Field Meets throughout Southern California. We are in Division III in the Southern Section of CIF. Practices are held at Servite High School during the season.

 The 2010 Track & Field Season started off in March with Rosary winning the 1600 Spring Medley at Earl Engman Relays!  With 85 girls participating on the team, a lot of work was needed for us to continue on our tradition of success.  Junior Andriane Jarminski broke her school record in the 200m with a time of 25.93.  Haley Stauber broke the two year old record for the Pole Vault with a jump of 11' 8".  Colleen McConnell broke her year old record for the Shot Put with a put of 32' 5.5".  Maya Arrellanes was the Outstanding Middle Distance Runner and Andriane Jarminski was the Outstanding Sprinter of the Year.  The Thrower of the Year was Colleen McConnell and the Jumper of the Year was Haley Stauber.  Rosary was ranked 19th in the State of California n the 1600m Sprint Medley Relay.  We have an excellent team coming back for 2011 and will be looking for a lot more school records as well as enhancing our position in the Trinity League.
